Flag of the first American armed force, the Philadelphia City Calvary. Established along side the Continental Congress as a volunteer force and was the first Colonial troop without any ties to Britain. It was the first flag to have featured the thirteen stripes and was used in battles of Trenton, Princeton, Brandywine and Germantown.
