Pennsylvania Flag. Heavyweight durable nylon flag finished with a strong canvas heading and two brass grommets.
Pennsylvania’s state flag was originally designed to be more of a square rather than the current rectangle. It is composed of a blue field with the coat of arms centered. Draft horses are on either side for the coat of arms and the American Eagle rests on top. The scroll at the bottom reads “Virtue, Liberty and Independence”. The first flag bearing the coat of arms was authorized in 1799. An act of the General Assembly on June 13, 1907 standardized the flag and required the field color match the blue of Old Glory.
